What is the Soprano Ice Laser Hair Removal Treatment Like?
The device's handpiece is passed over the areas of treatment while the laser pulses are released. Clients may briefly feel the heat of the laser's light energy followed by the cooling sensation of the handpiece's tip. No anesthesia is required but client's should shave accordingly for their sessions. Sessions may take anywhere between 10-15 minutes for small areas, 20-25 minutes for medium areas, 30-35 minutes for large areas, or longer for multiple areas. Sessions are spaced out every 6 weeks throughout the treatment course.
How Many Sessions are Needed and When Will I See Results?
Laser hair removal targets hair that is in the active stage of growth, called the Anagen phase. Multiple sessions are needed to ensure that the hairs are treated during this stage to gradually destroy the hair follicles. A minimum of 6 sessions are required to see about 95% reduction in hair growth, depending on several factors such as the amount of hair, the hair color, hormone levels, genetic background, etc. Some clients may need up to 8 sessions. Shedding of dead hairs is expected 5-30 days after your treatment and is accelerated if you exfoliate (after 48 hours post-treatment). You should see results after your first session, but it is important to keep in mind that multiple sessions will lead to permanent hair removal.
How to Prepare for your Soprano Ice Laser Hair Removal
Avoid prolonged sun exposure and artificial tanning at least 48 hours before your treatment. Shave the treatment areas 12-24 hours before your appointment time. No waxing, plucking, epilating, or depilatory creams 4 weeks before your first treatment and throughout the treatment course. Arrive with clean skin without wearing deodorant, creams, or perfumes on the areas of treatment.
How to Take Care of Yourself After Laser Hair Removal
You should avoid prolonged sun exposure, swimming, and saunas 48 hours after your treatment. Apply SPF>30 regularly if you plan on being outside. Do not exfoliate or use harsh soaps on the treated area for 48 hours after your treatment. No makeup, lotion, moisturizer, or deodorant for 24 hours after your treatment. If any swelling, itchiness, or blistering occurs after your treatment, you may a cold compress or Aloe Vera to the affected areas. Please note that you must discontinue waxing, plucking, epilating, or depilatory creams throughout the course of your treatment.
